through the LalBagh Botanical
Garden, meant to help children develop
a deep appreciation of the natural world in general,
and trees in particular.
What it includes:
Sample bags, specially- designed nature notebooks,
fun activities, light refreshments, and picnic.

Birth Of A City
Explore the Bengalooru of
Kempegowda I, who
built the city in the 16th century. Hear the legends
of the founding of the city, visit temples, watch
towers, markets, and other places of interest
that date back from this time, and sample some
typical Karnataka food.

On
The Trail of the Tiger
Get introduced to the Tiger of Mysore, the valiant
Tipu Sultan, and
explore his 18th century city, Bengalooru. Walk
through a 240-acre botanical garden in the heart
of the city that he and his father created, and
get a closer look at both Indian trees and trees
from all over the world that thrive here. After
lunch at a Bangalore institution called MTR, visit
Tipu’s summer palace and museum.

Bangalore
Discover what Bangalore was like in the Victorian
era, when the British held sway. Explore a couple
of 19th century churches, walk the roads that
the British built, and listen to stories of the
city’s famous British residents. Post-lunch,
we move to Bangalore in the first half of the
20th century, including Bangalore in the early
years of independent India.

Get introduced to the new Bangalore – the
IT capital of India and the epicenter of global
offshoring. Get a conducted tour of the impressive
campus of home-grown IT powerhouse Infosys, then
visit other 21st century places of interest in
the city.
